b) Write an algebraic expression for:
i) The sum of 8 times y and 5.
ii) The product of 'a' and 'b' added to their sum.
c) Fill in the blanks: 5⁄9 = 40⁄__ = __⁄99
d) Simplify: 25 − (−163) + 462 + (−122) − 224.

a) Find the product of the greatest and smallest 3-digit number each formed of the digits 5, 0, 2.
b) Income of Ram is Rs. 12000 per month and his saving is Rs. 4800 per month. Find the ratio of his
i) Income : saving
ii) Expense : saving
c) The temperature of a place in morning is 5°C below zero degree. At noon it rises by 13°C and again at night it falls down by 9°C. Find the final temperature of the place at night.

a) A shopkeeper had 5 1⁄2 Kg of sugar at the beginning of a day. He saw 3 3⁄4 kg of sugar left with him at the end. What quantity of the sugar did he sell on that day?
b) Sum of two integers is 255. If one of them is (-135), find the other.
c) If a= -2, b = 3, c =1 and d = 2, find the value of the algebraic expression 2a − 2b + 8c + 3d.

a) Which least number should be added to 980 so that 55 divides the sum exactly?
b) Simplify (Using distributive property):
685 × 5 + 685 × 4 + 685
c) Draw a circle and mark the following points in it. O as its center, OP as its radius, AB as its diameter and RS as its chord.

a) Simplify: 4a − 4b + 15a + 6b − 12a + b
b) Julie started walking from his house and went 150 Km toward east and from there she moved again backward by 270 Km. Find his final position from his house.
c) Prakash purchased 6 1⁄2 kg rice and 3 1⁄2 kg sugar. Both are purchased at the same rate of 72 per Kg. Find the balance amount he will get back if he gives 800 to the shopkeeper.
6. [3 + 3 + 4]
a) Subtract the sum of (−345) and 475 from the sum of 180 and (−125).
b) A company makes a profit of Rs. 24000 and is to be shared among three partners in the ratio 4 : 3 : 5. Find the amount that each partner gets.
c) Find the value of the below mentioned polynomial when p = -2
5p2 + 3p + 3
